Why?: Jodi came into my life at the perfect time as my boss in the Student Life Center, the second semester of my freshman year. Jodi quickly became a person I told everything to and looked forward to seeing as often as possible. She is such a light and brought back much of the joy I struggled to feel during the first semester of college. She is now commonly referred to as my “BW Mom,” as she is my biggest supporter, cheerleader, and advice-giver at BW (not to mention checking up on me every break to make sure I made it home okay.) She inspires me every day through her kindness, generosity, and attentiveness to everyone around her. She has brought out what I believe are the best parts of myself and continues to teach me the importance of having a positive perspective on everything.
